Bank Reconciliation and the General Ledger Finance Workshop

Session 1: Bank Reconciliation and the General Ledger will cover:
- Understanding the fundamentals behind preparing a bank reconciliation and the need for doing one;
- Matching process to analyse the differences between the cash balance shown on a bank statement, and the amount shown in the account holder's records.xperts will provide attendees with an overview of accounting principles such as understanding accounting terminology; balance sheet, profit & loss statements

Financial Reporting and Key Ratios Finance Workshop

4:30pm – 6:30pm @ TAFE Queensland

Session 2: Financial Reporting and Key Ratios will cover:
- Understanding how transactions being recorded are affecting your income statement and balance sheet;
- Analysing what an income statement is, how it should be read, what should be recorded in it and what happens to the profit at the end of the day;
- Evaluating a Balance Sheet and interpreting what you own, how much you owe and the amount invested by the related parties;
- Utilising the above reports, discuss and review key ratio’s fundamental to your business including current ratio, acid test ratio, gross profit margin etc.

Feedback has been received from Qld Health and QBAS about tenders received from local business – a number of areas of improvements have been identified and this workshop will increase local capability to submit compliant and competitive tenders.

Seasonal Retail Success

This workshop will incorporate the many elements of retail success.  One of our presenters at this workshop is Jody Allen. Jody is the Gympie, mother of two, who has created a massive online presence with her website Stay at Home Mum.  The Stay at Home Mum Facebook page has nearly half a million followers, the website has a million unique users a month and the daily newsletter lands in 60,000 inboxes.  Nick Pritchard who is a visual merchandiser will also be attending, to share some key insights into stock displays to maximise sales.  Customer service guru Bonnie Davidson is also attending to share her tips and tricks to help you and your team provide exceptional customer service.  This luncheon is $30 pp.
